Dissected Loess Plains
Dissected Loess Plains contains loess (wind blown silt) deposits that are among the thickest (200+ feet) in North America. Eroded canyons and deep valleys that occur at this site reveal the geological history of the Loess Plains better than any other place in the Great Plains.
