Natural resource project funding allows parks to address high-priority natural resource management needs beyond the scope of park budgets. Projects fall into the categories of Resource Protection, Natural Resource Preservation Program, Biological Resources–Competitive, Climate Change Response, Natural Sounds, and Water Resources. To ensure that projects address the highest priority needs across the National Park System, projects are evaluated and ranked through the Servicewide Comprehensive Call process.
