"What goes up, must come down...somewhere."

During the Sierra winter, abundant snowfall creates grand vistas of snow covered peaks, ski valleys active with winter sports, and the rush of sparkling waters flowing into rivers and streams--a magnificent legacy. Unfortunately, these winter snows can hide a dangerous load of chemicals transported from our cities far away on the coast and the Central Valley. This is "acid snow."
